Sheikh Ahmad Adwan, who introduces himself as a Muslim scholar who lives in Jordan, said on his personal Facebook page that there is no such thing as “Palestine” in the Koran. Allah has assigned the Holy Land to the Children of Israel until the Day of Judgment (Koran, Sura 5 – “The Sura of the Table”, Verse 21), and “We made the Children of Israel the inheritors (of the land)” (Koran, Sura 26 – “The Sura of the Poets”, Verse 59).
“I say to those who distort their Lord’s book, the Koran: From where did you bring the name Palestine, you liars, you accursed, when Allah has already named it “The Holy Land” and bequeathed it to the Children of Israel until the Day of Judgment. There is no such thing as ‘Palestine’ in the Koran. Your demand for the Land of Israel is a falsehood and it constitutes an attack on the Koran, on the Jews and their land. Therefore you won’t succeed, and Allah will fail you and humiliate you, because Allah is the one who will protect them (i.e. the Jews).”
The sheikh added: “The Palestinians are the killers of children, the elderly and women. They attack the Jews and then they use those (children, the elderly and women) as human shields and hide behind them, without mercy for their children as if they weren’t their own children, in order to tell the public opinion that the Jews intended to kill them. This is exactly what I saw with my own two eyes in the 70’s, when they attacked the Jordanian army, which sheltered and protected them. Instead of thanking it (the Jordanian army), they brought their children forward to (face) the Jordanian army, in order to make the world believe that the army kills their children. This is their habit and custom, their viciousness, their having hearts of stones towards their children, and their lying to public opinion, in order to get its support.”
It is worth mentioning, that the above mentioned sheikh visited Israel and met Jewish religious scholars. The “Israel in Arabic” site conducted an interview with him, in which he said that the reason for his openness towards the Jewish people “comes from my acknowledgment of their sovereignty on their land and my belief in the Koran, which told us and emphasized this in many places, like His (Allah’s) saying ”Oh People (i.e the Children of Israel), enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned unto you” (Koran, Sura 5 – “The Sura of the Table”, Verse 21), and His saying “We made the Children of Israel the inheritors (of the land)” (Koran, Sura 26 – “The Sura of the Poets”, Verse 59) and many other verses.
He (Adwan) added: “(The Jews) are peaceful people who love peace, who are not hostile and are not aggressors, but if they are attacked, they defend themselves while causing as little damage to the attackers as possible. It is an honor for them that Allah has chosen them over the worlds – meaning over the people and the Jinns until the Day of Judgment. I made the reasons for Allah’s choice clear in my books and pamphlets. When Allah chose them, He didn’t do so out of politeness, and He wasn’t unjust other peoples, it is just that they (the Jews) deserved this.”

Actually, Surat Al-Maida does have 120 versus, including verse 21 which states (interpreted) reciting what Moses had told his people: “O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah ‘s cause] and [thus] become losers.”
But you simply cannot stop there… You must read the remaining verses to get the full context of the story. For example, and after Moses relaying to God that his people have disobeyed his order in verses 22-25, God responds in verse 26 saying “[ Allah ] said, “Then indeed, it [the land that he had assigned to them] is forbidden to them for forty years [in which] they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people.”
Furthermore, and in verses 32 and 33 we find the following:
“Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.”
and “Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger [I suspect this is in reference to Jesus Christ] and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. The Koran refers to Israel as the Holy Land in 5:20-21. But Israel is mentioned 53 times in the Koran. Jews are mentioned 50 times. Kill 73. Slaughter 9. Destroy 71.
Jerusalem 0. Palestine 0
… and Mohammed is only mentioned 3 times. His mentions only comes up in the Hadith and Sirath – later publications.
Actually “Mohammad” (in Arabic) appears 4 times in the Quran. But there are other times wherein he is referred to as “the messenger”, “the prophet”… So what is your point?
The Quran does NOT “refer to Israel as the Holy Land” in verse 5:21. The Quran refers as the to the Holy Land as the Holy Land and offered that God HAD assigned it to the “people of Moses”. Isreal as a geographical location did not exist until the British Mandate hundreds of years after the Quran made mention of the term Israel”. So while you can pretend that the term “Israel” in Arabic letters, which by the way, is mentioned in the Quran 41 times, not 53 times)… are related to the Israeli state that is currently in the Palestinian territory and the occupied Wet Bank, the reality behind those references is that there were made to describe or refer to the “Children of Israel” which, for all intents and purposes, includes Christians as well, but also, in that context, it has no connection to the “Israel you are referring to here. So your claim is invalid!

To be as simplistic to only count how many times a particular word(s) (examples “kill”, “slaughter”, “destroy”) appears in a “publication”, thereby condemning that entire publication as being “cruel”, evil or whatever your intention may have been with regards to counting how many times those terms appeared in the Quran, undermines any value that your comment might begin to offer.
For example, the word “rape” appears in California statutes over 210 times; “murder” 233 times; “kill” over 319 times; “maim” 21 times….. But that does not make California laws bad, cruel or evil… Instead, it makes the standards by which we are all judged. And the same holds true for the Quran. If the word rape appears therein, and though it might appease you more to assume it is condoning such action, it is, in fact, prohibiting it.

Indeed, the statement which you quoted from him is contradictory, as on the one hand he says that the Quran cannot have any ruling on the state of Israel which was established recently, and on the other hand, he refers and gives evidence from the Quran which was revealed many centuries ago about the return of the Jews to regain the possession of their land in Palestine. So, how come the Quran is not good to provide as evidence for something that happened recently but at the same time it is good to provide as evidence about something else that happened recently? Glory be to Allaah, this is really a great lie.
Also, this liar keeps telling lies when he shows himself as having deep religious knowledge, and explains that whoever denies the reality that he allegedly established, he becomes a disbeliever. Rather, it is he who is worthy of being a disbeliever as he is clearly inventing lies against Allaah.
As regards the verse that he mentioned (about the final and the last promise), then there is a difference of opinion about what is meant by the final and the last promise: is it the return (to Palestine), or the Day of Judgment or else? Even according to the statement that it is the return (to Palestine), then it is just telling about what will happen and not an acknowledgement of what will happen, and it is not an acknowledgement that this land is for the Jews.

The Jewish claim that Allah promised them the Holy land is baseless. It is only a falsity. In fact Allah prescribed this land for Muslims in all times. He prescribed it for believers (Muslims) in the era of Prophet Musa (Moses),may Allah exalt his mention), who was himself a Muslim as were all the prophets. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning) that: “Musa said to his people: “O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allah’s Will).” (Yunus 10:84)
Allah ordered Prophet Musa and those who followed him to enter the sacred land and expel the giants (animists who used to live in Palestine) away from the Bayt Al Maqdis which these giants took over earlier- Allah says that Musa said to his people: “And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: “O my people! Remember the Favour of Allah to you, when He made Prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the ‘Alamîn (mankind and jinns, in the past). “O my people! Enter the holy land (Palestine) which Allah has assigned to you, and turn not back (in flight) for then you will be returned as losers.” (Al-Ma’idah 5: 20-21)
Allaah ordered them to invade this Holy land because it is a Muslim land that should not be ruled by the giant disbelievers who ruled with polytheist and Kufr judgments.
The same thing applies to the contemporary era. The Jews who did not believe in the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and indeed in Musa, as disbelieving in one prophet means disbelieving in all the prophets, these Jews have no right to rule Palestine. And Allah never promised it to them. Indeed the contemporary Jews are no better than the giant people whom Musa expelled from Palestine.
Palestine was a Muslim land and will remain as such forever.

Muslims believe in all the Prophets (Alaihim As-Salaam) of Allah. Musa (Alaihi As-Salaam) is one of them. He is even one of the five strong-willed Prophets named by Allah. Muslims believe that Musa ordered his people to enter Bait al-Muqadis (The Holy land) but they said: “O Musa! In it (this holy land) are a people of great strength, and we shall never enter it, till they leave it, when they live it then we will enter”. Then they said to Musa : “So go you and your Lord and fight you two, we are sitting right here”.
Therefore, Allah forbade this land to them for forty years and made them wander through the land during that period. After this wandering period, the Jews entered this Holy Land with Yusha’a Ibn Nun (Alaihi As-Salaam). But they entered it in a humiliating manner instead of entering it prostrating for Allah as they were ordered initially.
On the other hand, the holy land and all of Palestine, Jordan and areas surrounding it belong to the Arabs and have belonged to them before the coming of Bani Israel. The Canaanites built cities and established a known civilization. The land was named after them. It was called “The Land of Canaan” or the land of Yabbouss who are from Canaan. The Canaan are Arab tribes who lived originally in the Arab Peninsula. But they immigrated to the Mediterranean coast during the first half of the year 3000 before Christ. Bani Israel fought those Arab tribes and were able to reach the Holy land and establish their country there. Then Palestine was occupied by the Babylonians, then the Persians, then the Jew Kabi, and then the Romans. al-Quds (Jerusalem) was destroyed in 70 AC. When the Roman Empire became Christian in 324 AC Palestine was ruled by the Christians until 638 when the Muslims conquered it.
It remained under Muslim rule during all these centuries except the two periods when the crusaders occupied it that is from 1099 to 1182 and from 1229 to 1239 AC.
But we Muslims do not maintain our right in the Holy land based on the existence of Arabs in that land but on the rule of Allah who Says: {… Verily, the earth is Allâh’s. He gives it as a heritage to whom He wills of His slaves, and the (blessed) end is for the Muttaqûn} [7: 128].
The Muslims’ conquest of Jerusalem was salvation for the Christians from the persecution and oppression they suffered under Roman rule. The just and equitable treatment by Muslims to Christians and their principled rulership influenced most of the Christians to become Muslims and those who preferred to remain Christians were able to do so with tranquility and peace as Muslims never tried to force anyone embrace Islam.
But when Muslims abandoned their religion, Christians and Jews did their utmost to falsity the truth and they brought into Palestine groups of castaway Jews from all over the world. These groups worked to force Muslims to leave their land and properties and the Jews took it all. They inflicted on Muslims all kinds of oppression and aggression that is unacceptable by any legislation, sense of humanity, law or principle. But when Muslims return to practicing Islam and use all means available, the land of Palestine and many more lands will return to them as Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Allâh has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).} [24: 55].
As for the Ten Commandments you mentioned that were given to Musa , we cannot give an answer about them as we do not know them. We know for a fact, that the Jews and Christians falsified and corrupted the Torah and the Injeel of Prophet Jesus (Alaihi As-Salaam). And anyway we have in the Qur’an the Commandments of Allah Who Says (interpretation of meaning): {Say (O Muhammad SAW): “Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him; be good and dutiful to your parents; kill not your children because of poverty – We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not near to Al-Fawâhish (shameful sins, illegal sexual intercourse, etc.) whether committed openly or secretly, and kill not anyone whom Allâh has forbidden, except for a just cause (according to Islâmic law). This He has commanded you that you may understand. “And come not near to the orphan’s property, except to improve it, until he (or she) attains the age of full strength; and give full measure and full weight with justice. We burden not any person, but that which he can bear. And whenever you give your word (i.e. judge between men or give evidence, etc.), say the truth even if a near relative is concerned, and fulfill the Covenant of Allâh, This He commands you, that you may remember. “And verily, this (i.e. Allâh’s Commandments mentioned in the above two Verses 151 and 152) is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqûn} [6: 151-153].
